Formation of Cross Party Group for the Horse Following a launch attended by supporting Assembly Members in Cardiff last night, a Cross Party Group for the Horse has been established to represent key issues on equine matters throughout Wales. |  |
Mark Weston BHS Director of Access Safety and Welfare said: "It is crucial that the interests of horse and rider are taken forward at the Welsh Assembly through this group. The value of equestrianism to the Welsh economy is enormous with an estimated £222 million generated from horse owners alone."
Jan Roche BHS Development Officer for Wales, who also provides the secretariat for the group, said: "I am extremely excited about the new Cross Party Group and feel that this is the way forward for highlighting equestrian matters in Wales."
