Pony Club Novice Championships 2009 The Pony Club Novice Championships, organized and hosted by The Cheshire Hunt North Branch of The Pony Club, are being held at their new venue of Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre August 29th-30th. More than 650 Pony Club Members from all over the UK, with the average age of 13, compete in the disciplines of Pony Club Novice Dressage, Showjumping and Eventing. The increase in competitor numbers at The Novice Championships over the past five years has meant that a venue with more space was sought, and Kelsall Hill Equestrian Centre, near Tarporley, fitted the bill. |  The Cheshire Hunt North Branch of The Pony Club, winning Junior Mounted Games Team |
David Knowles, Secretary of The Novice Championships, commented that "The Cheshire Hunt
North Branch are very excited about the new venue, as we will now be able to offer our competitors more space, but also extend the onsite stabling area and shopping village". "We are confident that those who attend the Novice Championships in 2009 will agree that the decision to move has paid off."
It is hoped that the larger venue with allow for organic growth of The Novice Championships in the coming years.
Admission is free, and spectators are welcome to watch, browse the trade stands and have a bite to eat.
